I'm Surrounded By Idiots « Thread Started on May 3, 2008, 7:01pm »
Sinistra smacked Sinister awake. "WHA WHA WHAT???" Sinitra smacked him again. "Shut up! Do you want to be heard?" Sinistra whispered. Her shadow of a brother looked around, dazed. "I dunno, who's list'ning?" Sinistra rolled her eyes. How much of an idiot her brother was. "Just follow me." She leapt off the dirty concrete ledge onto the dirt below with out a sound. Sinister tried to be as nimble as she was, but while trying to leap, got tangled up in a couple of loose wires, lost his footing, fell, and landed with a crash beside Sinistra. I'm surrounded by idiots she thought.

The noise made the hackles on Lucificalenes back raise. He knew the sound of a body falling, and, more specifically, the sound of a live one versus an already-dead one hitting the ground. Dead cats made a sound that was, more, well...dead. And evenly distributed over the pavement. The live ones hit unevenly, and that made the sound different.
His whole body tensed, his grip tightening around that night's loot, which was a rope of genuine pearls, wrapped in a purple silk scarf he'd also lifted. Unlike Rumpleteazer, Lucificalene had no personal interest in the gems, and certainly was not planning to wear the silly things--he'd taken them for their value alone, to hand over to Macavity. Ditto for the scarf.
His eyes though, naturally attuned to the dark, told him it was just those two. There were two those twos in Lucificalene's mind--the moderately competant, if hella-annoying, Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer, and the far less reliable Sinister and Sinistra. At least Mungo and Rumple could pull of a heist with some grace and quiet! If he ever thought about it, he supposed he'd say he blamed Sinister for screwing Sinistra up, but it was just as much her fault in that case for not ditching the moron.
Stalking in their direction, he hissed, "Hey, you two! I hope you're not doing anything important, because I think you just botched it already!"
Seriously. he really did hope they weren't doing anything important, meaning anything for Macavity, because they would screw it up, he knew it, and he did NOT like things being screwed up for Macavity...though he took consolation in the idea of others being punished by that most esteemed criminal cat.

Sinistra snorted. "Well if only this big oaf would be a little more quiet! And you're not being much of a help! If you haven't noticed, We're going to the Throne Room under Macavity's orders!" She began to creep soundlessly toward the Throne room, Sinister stomping nosily behind. "Will you shut up?!?" She hissed at him.

Lucificalene's brows furrowed in thought. Why were they being invited to the Throne Room by Macavity and not him? There were probably a million possible reasons, but he still didn't like it. Even if Macavity was only calling them in there to chew them out, Lucificalene still felt he ought to be there. of course, Lucificalene felt like he ought to be there for everything important, as he was convinced he was the only one truly loyal--everyone else was just a scavenger in his mind.
Actually, Sinister being called in bugged him more than Sinistra. Sinistra, he could understand, to a point. She was a captain, like him. Sinister, well he was just an....just an oaf, like she said. The fact Macavity might even bother to remember Sinister's name made Lucificalene...jealous? No, that wasn't the word. That would imply that Macavity did not remember Luke's own, and he most certainly did!
He prowled behind them as silently as Sinistra herself, sideling up to Sinister, saying very softly so as not to attract attention from Sinistra,
"You're seeing the Boss in his personal chambers, eh? That's a pretty big step, Sinister, especially for you. Any idea why, what you did to deserve it?"
He figured it'd be easier to get info out of the fat cat versus his slim sister. Sinister was notoriously and obviously stupid, more likely to spill anything he knew with only mild prompting, and more likely to take any uncharacteristic flattery from Luke--as flattering as Luke got, anyway, which wasn't very--with no suspicion whatsoever.

(XD)
Sinister looked over. "WUZZU?!? WHO"S THERE?!?" He screamed. Sinistra pulled him away. "You stupid--!" She looked over and, unlike her brother, saw Luke. She had heard him too. "If you'd like to know why Macavity wanted us, why didn't you come yourself? You're a captain, like me. He pratically worships the ground you walk on. You have all the rights to be there." She stomped over through the tunnels, dragging Sinister behind her. She meant to lose Luke, but that could be near impossible. Instead, she just let him come too. ((I think I'll continue in the Throne Room topic, if you got the PM))

(Sure! ^^ I'll make one last post here, and go there.)
GAH. Sinister really was dumb as a sack of brick's. Didn't even have a nice sleek rear end like Sinistra to make up for it, geez. Yeah, Lucificalene didn't actually touch queens, he considered them a distraction to his work, but he'd look now and then to keep from going crazy. Definitely NOT the first thing on his mind though, unlike some other toms.
Speaking of Sinistra, her comment regarding how Macavity viewed him did still him for a second. The ground he walked on? Really? Was she just saying that out of spite like a jealous sibling, or was she actually right? Or close enough to right. He'd meant to get Sinister off-guard with a bit of honey-tongue, but it looked like the moron's twin had been the one to get him.
After a stunned second, he too went with them, impossible to lose as Sinistra had feared.
